For a site that no longer accepts new content, you may want to put it in "read only" mode, keeping the content available online to users. but prevent users from logging in or posting new content.

You will also want to optimize the site to eliminate unnecessary functionality for guests and to improve performance.

There are quite a few configuration changes that you can make when using the admin UI, but there are a few factors you'll need help changing to - that's why this add-on appears (see below). Note at the end of this page for restrictions.)

This addon provides the following functions:

a UI and CLI tool to remove passwords from users to prevent them from logging in, and to minimize the risk of information leakage if your site is hacked (selected users can keep logging in for testing purposes). inspection and maintenance)

Prevent email from being sent to archived users

provide a meaningful message to users if they try to log in, informing them that the site has been hosted

Preventing archived users from resetting their passwords with a forgotten password link

Display a notification for users below the title on the home page

replace the "you must be logged in to post" message below the content on topic pages with a custom message and option of a link (for example, to a new website)

hide UI elements from guests:

New article button on the forum home page

Link What's new in the header on mobile devices

List of followers on the member profile page

List of followers on the member profile page

Lock icons on locked topics in the thread list

Installation instructions

The user hosting process works on all users except:

super admins

any other user_id is listed in $ config settings ['archiveSiteProtectedUsers']

Any user who wants to maintain login access must be promoted to super-admin status or add their user_id to the array in your config.php file:
